Thanks to the more than 1,000 Progressive Conservative members of all ages who travelled to Red Deer on Saturday to attend our first AGM since late 2014. And thank you for electing me to be your new PC Alberta president. I’m humbled and honoured to have earned your trust, and I’m looking forward to continuing our progress on rebuilding together.

The growing strength and resilience of our PC Party was on full display in Red Deer as both new and old members from all corners of our province got to work to continue the rebuilding efforts we started on May 6, 2015.

Although we have taken significant steps forward in the past twelve months, the real work is only just beginning and we must all chip-in.

At the AGM, many asked me, “What can I do to help?” There are lots of ways to build on the weekend’s positive momentum.

First and foremost, you can join your local PC constituency association or commit to making a recurring monthly contribution to our Party. Click here to donate $5, $10, $15, $20 or $30 each month.

Secondly, tell us when you think the election of a new leader should occur. Click here to give us your thoughts. The PC Board of Directors are meeting in Calgary on June 4th and the leadership race will be discussed; the board has three to twelve months to hold an election to pick a permanent leader.

Finally, I ask that you tell a friend or family member about the changes our Party is making to put the concerns and interests of the province first. Tell them that we are committed to regaining the trust of Albertans, one day at a time.

I am excited for the year ahead. Please join me in rebuilding our Progressive Conservative Party.

Kind regards,

Katherine O’Neill President, PC Alberta
